Disney Military SaluteDisney 2011-2012 Military Salute to From now through September 30, 2012, Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is honoring U.S. military personnel. During this time, active and retired U.S. military personnel can purchase four-day military promotional tickets for just $138 each. When these are combined with military discounts for airline tickets, the savings can be tremendous.

A four-day ticket with a park hopper option costs only $138, as does a base promotional ticket with the Water Parks Fun and More option. Tickets that feature both options cost only $165 each, allowing military families to experience multiple Disney World parks and enjoy some water park fun. Tickets may be purchased for active and retired U.S. military personnel and up to five friends or family members.

Travelers should purchase their military discounted airline tickets soon because they must use their Disney tickets by October 1, 2012. Military personnel can also save up to 40 percent on rooms at certain Walk Disney World Resort hotels, adding to the savings. Certain blockout dates apply and there may be a minimum length of stay requirements, so learn more before making a reservation.

Military personnel can purchase their military discount airline ticket online and get their discounted Walt Disney World tickets through their local Information, Ticketing, and Registration (ITR) office. Military members or their spouses must provide valid military identification to receive the discounted attraction ticket price. ITR staff can also assist with booking accommodations at a Walt Disney World Resort.

Information regarding any related 2012 discount offered for Disneyland Resort in California has not yet been released. For 2011, active and retired U.S. military personnel can purchase a three-day Disneyland park hopper pass for $99. The same limitations and restrictions apply to the Walt Disney World salute tickets. Active and retired reservists, National Guard, and U.S. Coast Guard are considered eligible service members.
