Walt Disney World continues to honor those who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces with its Armed Forces Salute discount program. The 2012-2013 discounts were recently released so those planning to purchase a military discount airline ticket for a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, should take note. The program includes a four-day theme park ticket and room discount at official Disney resorts.
The discounted theme park tickets may be purchased between August 17, 2012, and September 25, 2013, for a visit between October 1, 2012, and September 28, 2013. Blackout dates are December 24 through 31, 2012, March 24 through April 4, 2013, and July 4, 2012 (Magic Kingdom only). Active reserve, active duty, and retired members of the Army, Navy, Marines, National Guard, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Air Force qualify for the program.
The Armed Forces Salute Ticket is available in three options. For $156 each plus tax, service members can purchase a four-day Disney World Park Hopper ticket or a four-day non-Park Hopper ticket featuring four entries under the Water Parks and Fun Option. For $184 each plus tax, they can buy a four-day Park Hopper ticket with four entries under the Water Parks and Fun Option.
Through the Armed Forces Salute discount program, service members also receive discounts of up to 40 percent on accommodations at Walt Disney World resorts. The offer runs from October 1, 2012, through September 28, 2013. Blackout dates are November 22 to 24, 2012, December 23 to 31, 2012, and March 25 through April 4, 2013.
