Welp, I did another glimpse at the ticket list and it looks like someone took a trip to Jacksonville, Florida! Are you ready? Let’s take a look at what’s going on there.
First, let’s talk a little about the city in general. It’s actually the largest city in the state of Florida and a major seaport city. It has two US Navy bases (Blount Island Command and Submarine Base Kings Bay), and the Port of Jacksonville, Florida’s third largest seaport. This makes the area the center for a lot of activity.
And, like many Florida cities, the weather and climate is normally humid, with mild weather in the winters and hot during the summers. However, it can get cold there. So, like we always say take a sweater or jacket! It’s always better to ‘have and not need, than to need and not have‘.
Activities and Things to Do
As far as activities go, depending on what time of the year you visit, you may get to attend or participate in a few of the several events. The Gate River Run is held annually. The Gator Bowl is usually held in January. Then, you have the Kingfish Tournament and the Jacksonville Jazz Festival to name a few. There are a lot more! Check the links below to visit the websites pertaining to the city.
For you RV Park lovers, we haven’t forgot about you! Do they have one? Of course they do! The Fleetwood RV Park is one you might want to consider. Follow this link: Fleetwood RV Park.
