The 4th of July is almost here, and it’s time for fireworks! This is a quick list of places to consider if you are thinking about traveling around that time. By no means is this list exhaustive or extensive. Actually, the places were randomly picked from a spitball draw! 😉 Lol! But seriously, they are all awesome and would be great places to visit. After reading the descriptions, be sure to visit the links in the Resource area below the post as well. Let’s get started.
Table of Contents
Fireworks in New York
If you are going to be in New York, or New Jersey, there’s a lot to see! I found a site called, Timeout.com. It had a great list of places to be and things to do leading up to the fireworks. From Coney Island, to Jersey City to the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks over the East River, there will be plenty to do and see.
Philadelphia
There is nothing like celebrating the 4th of July in Philadelphia, PA. They have a whole week of celebration! On fireworks night, the show starts at 9:30 p.m. And, there are several prime viewing spots for your viewing enjoyment. If you have the time, be sure to get there earlier in the week for the Welcome America! Celebration (June 29 – July4, 2017). Two words say it all… “Free. Concert.”
Florida
So why does Florida always have to look so beautiful? Not only that, there is always so much to do! You shouldn’t get bored–that’s for sure! If you are in the Northwest Region, you can check out Panama City Beach’s Star Spangled Spectacular; or Destin Harbor Red, White and Blue Hero’s Celebration or the Independence Eve Celebration in Apalachicola–to name a few of the celebrations.
In the Southwest Region, there’s Naples Fourth of July celebration, the Fort Myers 17th Annual Have a Blast Independence Firework Show and Key West’s The Key Lime Festival. Of course those are not all that Florida has to offer. We invite you to check out the link below to see a longer list of activities and celebrations!
Texas
So, you know Texas has to do it up big. It even took a minute for the web site to load. Here a link to everything you need to know from Tripsavvy. Again, the list is not all inclusive, but it does have some of the Major cities and activities going on during the 4th of July holiday. San Antonio is a favorite spot for people to visit in summer and during the 4th of July celebration, it makes it all the more spectacular.

We’ve also included links for Louisiana, California, Hawaii and Washington, D.C. below in the Resources area. There is also a bonus link that goes to a search for other places too.
